Kdm Tuners 2.0T Theta II Engine Build Kit
By popular demand we at Kdm Tuners have compiled a full one click (Ok maybe two or three click) Kdm Tuners 2.0T Theta II Engine Build Kit. This kit will include just about everything you would need to build your 2.0T Theta motor.
These kits will be able to support up to 700+ hp with no mechanical limitations. In fact all the parts in this kit have been designed and rated for 1,000+hp. To get up above 600hp you will need to work on some fueling issues and the block will need to be sleeved, along with other supporting mods such as turbo upgrade, tune, etc.
Kdm Tuners 2.0T Theta II Engine Build Kit Includes:
- Traum 9.5:1- 10:1 pistons – OEM Compression Ratio is 9.5:1
- Manly or Molnar H beam rods
- ACL Main Bearings
- ACL Rod Bearings
- ACL Thrust bearings
- All gaskets via Theta OEM Gasket rebuilt kit
- ARP upgraded 10mm studs
- ARP head studs
Traum Pistons
The design we use for the Theta II motors is a revised stock Gdi Dome piston which keeps the 9.5:1 Compression Ratio. This design is a full round designed Forged Aluminum piston with upgraded pins. These pistons were designed to hold over 1,000+hp!
Molnar Rods
Molnar Rods are an H-beam billet made from 4340 material. They are heat treated, shot peened, mag particle inspected and finished to the tightest tolerances in the racing industry. Use a 3/8 Arp2000 bolt made by ARP specifically for Molnar.
Manley Rods
Manley’s Pro Series I-Beam Connecting Rods are engineered with meticulous attention to detail and a finely tuned manufacturing process. These rods are available in forged 4340 or 300M vacuum degassed steel, and certain SKUs within the Pro Series I-Beam range have earned “NHRA Legal” certification.
ACL Performance Bearings
- Coated Bearings:
Our coated bearings are coated with Calico’s CT-1 Dry Film Lubricant coating helps reduce friction and abrasive wear. CT-1 is specifically engineered to withstand the extreme conditions of today’s high performance engines. Professional engine builders enjoy a higher level of confidence with increased
embedability, strength and durability. - Increased Load Carrying Capacity:
Under normal conditions performance bearing overlays withstand 12,000psi. CT-1 coated bearings
increase this load capacity to 180,000psi. - Extreme Oil Temperatures:
CT-1 coated bearings have shown a reduction in oil temperatures as much as 15˚F – 20˚F.
Lower oil temperatures also aid in the loss of viscosity due to extreme heat. - Low Oil Pressure/Oil Starvation
CT-1coated engine bearings provide a dry film lubricant that protects against intermediate
oil starvation.
ARP Upgraded Main studs/ Head studs
Taking a page out of our Gamma Engine Build Kit, we utilize ARP stud replacements for both the head studs and main studs hen upping the power on these engines. Utilizing the same 10mm x1.25 main stud kit that we borrowed from the Genesis 2.0T platform, and we use a 6″ long ARP2000 drop-in stud for the mains.
