The Aftermarket Didn't Exist.
So We Built It.
In 2013, competing in the Veloster Challenge time attack series, we ran into a wall — not on track, but in the paddock. The parts we needed to go faster simply didn't exist for the Hyundai and Kia platforms. No one was engineering for these cars.
So we did it ourselves. We meticulously dissected the Veloster platform, optimized the G4FJ engine for maximum power and reliability, and partnered with leading industry brands to create parts the community desperately needed. What started as necessity became expertise.
Six championships later, KDM Tuners had done something bigger than win races — we helped establish an entire aftermarket sector for Hyundai and Kia platforms. KDM Tuners was formally founded in 2017, but the mission started in 2013.

We Are Racing.
Racing didn't come out of the business — the business came out of racing. We started KDM Tuners because we needed better parts to compete. That urgency, that standard, is baked into everything we make.
After 6 championships, the business got busy and the race team took a back seat. But in 2024 we returned to competition with the Gridlife series — and immediately won the FCP Euro West Coast Championship in Street class, breaking 3 track records in the process.
In 2025 we ran two cars. Jordan Wiseley in the Veloster N in the inaugural GLGT class (now an official feeder to TC/TCR) — finishing 8th overall out of 35 cars with a podium. Willem Drees in Street class in the Elantra N — 4 track records, multiple podiums, and 3rd in championship as the highest-placing FWD car in years.
2026: We're going after overall track records in the Elantra N — targeting AWD cars — and GLGT wins in the Veloster N.

The reason everything exists. Our in-house race team competes at the highest levels of the Gridlife series, developing every product under real race conditions. The race team is our R&D department.

Started It All
Jim Pierce is the reason KDM Tuners exists. We met Jim in 2013 at the beginning of our Veloster Challenge campaign. We started developing parts for Jim — and it was Jim himself who first recognized what we were building.
"You know how much money I'm making on this relationship," Jim told us. "You should start a business." That conversation planted the seed for KDM Tuners Inc.
Years later, when Jim decided to retire after 30 years in professional motorsport, we made him an offer to acquire Pierce Motorsport. Jim's legacy — every car he built, every driver he coached, every certification he earned — now lives on under the KDM ecosystem.
Pierce Motorsport continues as our premium race car build division. The 30-year legacy of chassis expertise, manufacturer relationships, and race-proven engineering is now pointed at a new generation of Hyundai/Kia performance builds.
We're not just keeping the legacy alive. We're growing it.
