The Hyundai & Kia Oem rod bearings G4fj are a coated Bi metal bearing which is actually a great bearing. The softer material of the bi metal bearings are great for daily driving, off road, and circuit style racing. They allow any debris that may find its way into the bearing area to press into the bearing which will protect the crank pins an prevent scoring.
We at Kdm Tuners opt to use a bi metal bearing for all our road race applications for better protection against the elements.
